The Story


Leandro Voltan, the founder of the company, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit take over a small convenience store, with a laboratory annexed in the Venetian mainland to turn it into his pasta shop.


The entrepreneur applies, for the first time in history, the pasteurization process to fresh pasta extending its shelf life and giving to the product a better taste and look. He asks and obtains the patent depositing it in Switzerland with the n° 681372 .


The first factory, adopting industrial methodologies, is built in Olmo di Martellago – Venice. Leandro, thanks to the precious help of his son Giovanni, switch from a small-scale traditional company to an industrial one mainly driven by the fresh pasta pasteurization discovery which has allowed to produce more and more quantities of product.

80’s - 90’s

Due to the success of the Voltan pasta and the continuous increase in demand, the company undergoes a structural expansion: the offices, the warehouses, the production capacity and the lines are doubled, the products are diversified and multiply and the logistic distribution is optimized.


A r&d center and a 200 m2 laboratory are internally created making effective the Quality System in order to achieve "Total Quality" goals. It begins a long and structured path marked by the most important certifications and numerous awards at national and international level.


In the last decade, the incessant growth has consecrated the Company among the category leaders determining the acquisition of new production sites and brands. So Giordani, Emma Giordani, Brugnara and Antiche trattorie italiane has joined VoltanWay.


VoltanWay consolidates its national and abroad position with the acquisition of Antica Pasteria, a company close to Milan with an international and renowned expertise in the fresh pasta field.
