In the modern society the importance of ethical aspects and social responsibility have gained more and more attention through the past years. Companies, in order to achieve a sustainable development, must become aware of this situation and of a series of internal and external demands.

These two dimensions play a key role in Voltan strategies. The company has always been committed to working with ethics and social responsibility in order to protect and respect the environment and its society. For this fact, our production technologies have a low environmental impact and all materials used in the production process are ecologically sustainable, pursuing a policy for increasing energy efficiency and reducing the amount of waste. This effort is supported by concrete evidences (2007/2010 period):

• 100% of electricity used from renewable sources,
• 20% reduction of blue plastic bags usage,
• 50% reduction of disposable paper consumption,
• 15% reduction of packaging consumption.

Beside this, all the raw materials used in our products come from companies that are strongly following the "Welfare Approved Program", respecting the basic rights of animals. This strategic vision leads the company to considerable investments and a constant system reorganization and all that is needed to achieve long-term goals that are consistent with a sustainable and responsible growth over time
